Being able to walk straight out into the Quilamas mountains was a real highlight, and the views made waking up there a treat. Casas Rurales Francia-Quilamas is in a handy spot in Santibáñez de la Sierra: the village is peaceful, but places like Miranda del Castañar and La Alberca are just a short distance away. It was easy to get there, with clear signs along the way. The house felt cosy and genuinely rustic, while still having all the modern comforts. The little details made it feel like home as soon as we arrived. We also got thoughtful local tips from the staff, which really added to the trip. We had a fantastic few days and were delighted with our stay, whether we were relaxing or exploring Salamanca's mountain scenery.

The village doesn't have many amenities, so bring coffee, breakfast things, and whatever you'll need for cooking if you plan to make meals. That aside, we loved the place. The house was spotless, well looked after, and had everything we needed. Laura was so nice and attentive, and made us feel completely at ease. We'll definitely come back.

Marta was really friendly. The apartment was cosy and very well equipped, and our room was spacious with a great bed.

We came away feeling completely relaxed in this quiet village, with everything in the Sierra de Salamanca close by. The apartments had all we needed. The hosts were wonderful, paid attention to every detail, and were always around if anything came up. We'd definitely stay again.

The apartment was great, and the village still feels authentic. There are other villages nearby that are well worth a relaxed visit, plus some fantastic places to swim.
