The bathroom had a strange, really unpleasant smell, and there were lots of spiders in the room, which I absolutely hate. For the low price, though, it’s hard to complain too much. We were close to so many shops, which made quick trips for anything we needed easy. The person who welcomed us at the front was full of character and incredibly helpful, advising us on where to eat and what time to go, and generally looking after us.

George was a wonderful host, and I’m grateful for how much he knows about local and Spanish history. The place is a real hidden gem in a beautiful medieval town.

It really has to be seen in person. Inside, it feels like a museum or an old castle, something I’d never seen before. The people working here are so, so nice and polite. It’s incredibly cheap for pilgrims too. Just wow!
