The location worked really well for us. Ledesma is about fifteen minutes away, as is the Almeida spa, while the Ledesma spa takes around twenty minutes. Salamanca and Zamora are roughly half an hour away, and the Portuguese border is about forty minutes away. The Almendra Reservoir is a half-hour trip for carp fishing, and there’s a large network of mountain bike paths just five minutes from the house. This renovated country house suits a big group, with four bedrooms and plenty of shared space, including a huge living room for everyone to gather in. It was clean and welcoming, and the garden felt lovely and homey. The owners were very attentive. There’s heating for winter, plus a dishwasher and washing machine. We did find the supply of plates, cups, and cutlery a bit thin for a large group, and a few light fixtures had no bulbs, which took away from the otherwise lovely rooms.
