Of all the places I stayed overnight on el Camino, which I started in Sarria, this was my favorite. The stone walls were lovely, the rooms were clean, and having free refreshments and beers in the lounge was a bonus. Breakfast was superb. Marcela put so much care into the details and the guest experience. I’ll definitely stay again when I’m back.

After a full day of walking, the quiet and calm here were just what I needed. The hostess is warm and knows the Camino as a pilgrim herself. She’s made a wonderful place with the feel of an old Galicia home.

Marcela welcomed us so warmly and connected with us right away, two Pilgrims spending the night in Sarria. She made her home feel like ours, and we loved every minute. Our room was magnificent, clean, comfortable, and quiet. What a find. Marcela is a gracious host, and I highly recommend staying here. You won’t be disappointed.

The albergue was well equipped, and I really liked my room. It was clean and comfortable, and breakfast was amazing. The host was lovely too. One thing to know: I slept on the ground floor, and the wooden ceiling creaked a lot when people were in the room above. I guess that’s how these old houses are, but be prepared for it.

I stayed here at the beginning of my Camino walk. The bed was comfortable and the facilities were decent, though basic. The staff were friendly and suggested places to eat. There’s also a sister hostel about 200 meters away.
