For an affordable night or two away from Madrid, this is a really good option. It isn’t my favorite hotel in Segovia, but I’d happily book it again for budget accommodation. The main downside is the climb down the hill. Finding the place is easy, and once there, most of it is accessible for a wheelchair or stroller: the entrance has a ramp and everything is on the ground floor. The shower isn’t wheelchair accessible, though the room works for a stroller. It’s quiet because it’s near the Cathedral but set back from Plaza Mayor. The room was clean and tidy, with lovely views from the window. The rate was good, especially with other places costing about €60 more for one night. The shower worked well, there was plenty of toilet paper, and they supplied shampoo. There’s a Smart TV/Amazon Fire Stick, which was handy for a child who wanted Cocomelon. They can provide a fridge for medication if you ask. There’s no air conditioning as far as I could tell, but the heating works and a fan helps move the air and cool the room. The pull-out couch or chair can sleep a child, but the room fits at most two adults and one child, not three adults. Communication was easy, and the lockers make it practical to leave your bags if you arrive early or have time to kill before a later train. With a toddler, it’s manageable if you share a bed, but this place isn’t set up for babies or toddlers. A toddler who can operate door handles could get out, so you need to keep an eye on them. The window is a pair of doors with a kind of safety barrier; I worried my toddler might get around the side, so I kept it shut. That was down to my own choice of accommodation, not a fault with the hotel.

The rooms are lovely, fresh and clean.

The central setting is pleasant, but our room was really cold when we arrived and took a long time to warm up. With no staff on site, sorting out problems by phone or WhatsApp was difficult. More accessible help and closer attention to upkeep would make the stay better.
