A really interesting idea, and well worth checking out.

From the little pedestrian lanes, with their shops and old buildings, you suddenly come upon this huge wooden structure. It opened in a redesigned plaza in 2011 and feels quite unlike Seville’s usual street charm. Its construction was controversial, though I personally like it. The structure’s wavy shapes fit into the square. Downstairs you can visit Roman ruins; at street level there’s a restaurant, and under the Setas there are places to sit and a small playground. Pay to walk along the upper pathways for views over Seville’s rooftops.

The city looks beautiful from the viewpoint. I really liked the place.

We were lucky to stay right on that plaza, and lucky our place had good soundproofing because it was quite a party outside. The structure is really cool. It may clash a little with Seville’s classic, romantic look, but I thought it was lovely.
