The location is great, but I’m sure there are better hotels nearby. I slept badly the whole time and found the stay horrible. There’s virtually no soundproofing. Noise came from every direction, including people moving furniture upstairs, talking, using their phones, and flushing toilets. I could even tell what people were watching. At night, intimate sounds from other rooms woke me up. Cigarette smoke from neighbors on either side also seeped into my room and felt suffocating, even with the door closed. The noise seemed to come from rooms above or below as well.

This hotel’s a poor choice in colder months. The rooms and bathrooms have no heating, and the shower takes ages to warm up. Breakfast was disappointing, especially if you want vegetables or protein. The vegetables were oily and bitter, the scrambled eggs tasted artificial, and with only two coffee machines for such a large hotel, the queues went on and on.

The rooftop pool was a lovely extra, with towels available to borrow. We also had spacious rooms, really comfortable beds, and a very good breakfast, though the coffee could be better. The walls are a little thin, so you hear other people. Still, I had a very good impression of the hotel, and the location is great, about 30 minutes on foot from the city center.

At around 2 AM we had to check out and find another hotel. It was impossible to stay, and the hotel still refused to refund our money. The central AC was locked on heating, so the room became unbearably hot and we couldn’t sleep. Opening the window meant constant street noise and a strong weed or smoke smell from outside. There was banging on the walls and repeated disturbance from neighbors, which left us feeling unsafe. This was the worst hotel experience I’ve had anywhere. Management failed at basic comfort, safety, and guest service. No comfort, no proper customer service, and no sense of safety. Avoid it, even if it’s free.
