Catalonia Santa Justa

Our room was very clean, breakfast was excellent and well organized, and we have no complaints about our stay at Hotel Santa Justa. Fran was always serving us in the pool and bar area on the 6th floor. He’s a fantastic member of staff, always smiling and ready to help. He’s attentive, keeps everything under control, and drinks never take long to arrive. We had many nice chats with him and got great tips about Seville. The location is amazing, with most landmarks easy to reach on foot. Araceli was especially friendly and welcoming at breakfast every day, and the staff service was great. The breakfast choice was limited and barely changed from day to day. I was also surprised that pool use needs to be booked. The sauna has to be booked and paid for separately, at $14 for just one hour. I’ve stayed at other 4* hotels where sauna access is included and time is limited to at most 2hrs. One hour feels rushed when you’re paying extra. Without those issues, I’d have rated the hotel higher.

The rooms were well cleaned, and the staff were friendly and polite, but there’s a lot that needs improving. The gym is so small you can barely fit three people. Getting from the parking to the room is a maze that takes two elevators, and light leaks around the room’s main door. The photos make the place look fancy, but the renovation feels cheap and grandpa-style. The rooftop bar is extremely expensive, 7 euros for a glass of wine and 13 euros for an aperol, served in a plastic glass. The cold-water jacuzzi was always empty. Not worth it.

We had a wonderful time at Catalonia Santa Justa in Seville, and Laura at reception deserves a special thank you for being kind and professional. The whole staff were friendly, attentive, and always ready to help. It’s right by the train station and an easy walk from the old town. Breakfast had a huge range of fresh, delicious choices. We also loved the lower-level spa, with excellent facilities and lovely staff who made it even more relaxing. The rooftop bar was another highlight, with a breathtaking view over the old town and a great spot to unwind, sunbathe, and enjoy the pool and jacuzzi. Highly recommended, and we’d definitely stay again!
