Eva Recommends Casa Gerona

Getting inside felt like an escape room, and I expected more from this place. The bathroom was awful, the AC needs attention, and the whole place smelled bad. It is spacious, but that doesn't matter much when the odor is so unpleasant. A disappointing stay.

A very satisfactory stay in an ideal spot in the city. Lots of attractions are close, and cafes and bars are easy to reach.

There was no hot water, and the AC was awful: it barely worked, smelled musty, and dripped from the bathroom ceiling. The place didn't seem to get cleaned either. I even found a comb stuck to the wall behind the sofa. I wouldn't recommend it. This was the worst place I've stayed in, despite having been to many places in Spain.

The host was incredibly attentive, quick to suggest places to eat and visit, and always ready to help. We even found free street parking, though we were there in the second half of August when it wasn't very busy, so I can't say what parking is like at other times. The apartment felt like home and was just as described. It's comfortable, well equipped with a coffee maker, microwave, washing machine, toaster and the utensils you need, and has effective central AC. The terrace has a lovely view and is a nice place to have morning coffee, including if you smoke. Entry through the app is convenient since there's no key to lose. It's in a beautiful part of the old town. Las Setas (the Metropol Parasol) is five minutes away, the cathedral about 20 minutes on foot, and the main monuments are within a 10-30 minute walk. Plaza de España and Triana are also walkable, around 30-40 minutes. We had a wonderful time and will book with them again!
