I’d find a code for a lockbox more convenient for everyone, so you could pick up the keys easily. The in-person check-in went like this: I was asked to share my estimated arrival time, but when I got there nobody was waiting. I called, and someone came over. About 15 minutes later they handed me three physical keys, one for the front door, one for a gate inside the property, and one for the room.

Everything we needed for a few days was there, including a kitchen, washing machine, and silverware. Our family of four, with young children, found the apartment comfortable and clean. The owner and staff were very helpful, and the location made it easy to walk to Seville’s main tourist spots. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone visiting the city.

During our three-night stay at Genteel Home apartment Calle Francos 23, Sevilla, someone broke in while my wife and I were out and took 1000 euros from my backpack. We booked through Booking.com at the end of May 2022. I hold Genteel home responsible. At check-in I asked whether there was a safety deposit box, and the woman told me there wasn’t one and that we didn’t need one, so I had to leave our cash and valuables in the apartment. There was no safe in the apartment and no CCTV outside the building or apartment entrances. Management didn’t respond properly or offer any support. They rent expensive homes to tourists from around the world and provide many amenities, but not basic security like a safe lock box or CCTV. I don’t recommend any of their apartments. A hotel or Airbnb would be a better choice. I’d never stay with them again and would rather book apartments on Airbnb.

Beautiful light and a great view from the apartment. It’s right in the heart of the city, close to all the main landmarks.
