H10 Casa de la Plata

The staff are what made our week at Casa de la Plata so enjoyable. Everyone, from the housekeeping team to reception and the restaurant and bar staff, was friendly, warm and helpful. We'd like to thank them all. The hotel really earns its four stars, and we'd gladly recommend it to anyone visiting Seville. We found it easy to walk everywhere from the central spot among the city's winding streets. The design mixes eclectic interiors with Andalusian touches. Our room was spotless, with a great bathroom and shower. The lit toilet bowl was especially useful for us older guests at night. We enjoyed the rooftop bar as a break from the busy streets, for food or drinks or just relaxing by the pool. Breakfast was a pleasure, with a generous choice from the buffet and à la carte menu. We'd just come back from seven lovely nights. From the welcome Cava when we arrived to the breakfast picnic they prepared for us when we had to leave before regular breakfast hours, everything was superb.

The hotel is good rather than great, but I would recommend staying for the location. Our junior suite was lovely, and it was only a few minutes on foot to The Mushroom, then a little further to the Cathedral and the Alcazar. Taxis can't reach the door, so expect to be dropped about 100metres away. Reception were fantastic, helpful and knowledgeable about the city. The roof terrace is lovely at sunset. Breakfast was hit and miss, and I wouldn't pay for it next time. The coffee from the machines was awful, and there was no freshly squeezed orange juice in Seville, really? We got two mini croissants to start, with no other pastries, though there were patisserie cakes. I asked for stated mushrooms with my poached eggs and they came from a can. The eggs themselves were lovely. There are plenty of little bars nearby for a Spanish Brekky Fix.

The meals were fresh, quick, tasty, and very reasonably priced. But the thing that really set H10 Casa de la Plata apart for us was the staff. Every person we dealt with was warm, friendly, genuinely helpful, and spoke flawless English. They went above and beyond to help us get around Seville and deal with the Holy Week parades. Everything else was impeccable too. The hotel was spotless, our room was beautifully presented and exceptionally well stocked, and the bed, linen, and pillows were incredibly comfortable. The Rituals toiletries were a lovely extra. This is one of the best hotel stays we've had, and there's nothing I'd suggest changing. H10 should be proud of this team. I'd recommend the hotel without hesitation.

Amaia G looked after us at breakfast every morning, and the meal was excellent, with plenty of choice and hot food available on request. Reception were polite and helpful at any hour, and always happy to top up our water bottles. Our room was quiet, clean and private, overlooking the patio on the ground floor. The bathroom and shower were good, the beds comfortable, and there were two bottles of water each day. Plenty of regular and USB sockets made it easy to charge everything, and the climate control seemed to work well. Check-in was easy, though we had done it online beforehand, and we got a glass of cava when we arrived, a nice touch. A lovely hotel in Santa Cruz, close to the main sights. The decor and atmosphere were beautiful, and there were nice spots to relax with a drink at the pool bar or lobby bar.
