Hostal San Francisco

We paid through booking and let the Hostal know we’d arrive at night. They said that was fine, but at 1 am we were left out on the street with nobody answering. Booking refunded us, but we still had nowhere to stay, and nobody has apologized even now. Worst experience ever!

The room was small, but it worked well for one person staying a few nights, and it was exactly as described. Very clean, with friendly, helpful staff. It got a little stuffy, though the AC helped; a dehumidifier might be useful in the hotter summer months. Recommended!

We only stayed one night, and the small room had enough space for what we needed. The location was good and the price felt fair. Check-in was easy too, using a code sent earlier that day.

For €135 a night, this room was absolutely not worth it. We were put in room 001 on the ground floor, right beside the main entrance, even though they let us check in early. The wall by the bed was paper-thin, and every time someone entered the hostal, the two doors banged loudly. It woke us up twice with each arrival, as if we were sleeping right next to the entrance. A total disaster. I was ill and asked to move, but the receptionist said the place was full. I don't think this room should be rented out at all. There also wasn't reception available around the clock. We waited until 10:30am for the receptionist to come in.
