The bottom bunk was hot and humid, even with the air con on and a portable fan in the capsule. I'm not sure why it felt so damp. That was my only gripe. Otherwise, this is a very comfortable hostel with a capsule-like setup. The staff are friendly and informative, and it's handy for tourist spots while sitting just a little outside them. Local shops are close by, and there's a bar right next door that was luckily quiet. There's also parking for your rental e moped.

I spent three nights at Hostel Ikigai while traveling from Canada, and it was probably the best sleep of my whole trip. The bed was really comfortable, the room was dark, and the hostel was very clean. The washrooms and dining area were kept in great shape and cleaned daily. The owner deserves a special mention. He's the warmest person I've met at any of my travel stops, lifts everyone's mood, and is super attentive to any concerns. He's also a polyglot, so communication was easy. An amazing hostel experience, and I'd 100% recommend staying at Hostel Ikigai.

Everything felt new and high quality, from the perfectly comfortable beds to the kitchen, which was ready to use and had all the basics. One of the best hostels I've ever stayed in, and the host was great too. 👌🥰🙏

When I twisted my ankle during my stay, the staff helped with a spray and a wrap bandage, then checked on me regularly. I’m truly grateful for how kind and helpful they were. The hostel was quiet, super clean, and in a perfect location. Such an amazing place. I highly recommend it!
