Hostel Trotamundos

For €39, we got three nights, so the price was good. The room was basic and clean, though the beds were small. The air conditioning kept us very cool at night, even with temperatures around 40°C. Showers were decent, but the bathrooms were often unclean, and the small kitchen was dirty and had very little equipment. It was fine for a short visit as long as you don't expect much.

I was meant to stay for two nights, but after being out for three hours I came back and found my wallet, credit cards, papers, and MacBook Pro gone. Someone had opened my locker and taken them. We were five people who had things stolen, and we heard it had happened to others too. When we reported it to someone working there, he questioned whether it was true that we'd lost what we said. We went to the police, so I had no reason to make it up. We asked to see the cameras, but were told staff couldn't access them. I don't know whether I'll get my Mac or wallet back, and I hope the police find something. It's deeply disappointing, and I hope people reading this choose somewhere else.

We couldn't sleep in the room we'd paid for, and we were charged too much for it. At 2am we had to move to a hotel because two men in our room were shouting, making noise, and shaking the bed to keep people awake. When we raised it at the desk, staff acted as if they'd checked and found nothing wrong. We later learned the men were residents who knew the staff. The room doors don't lock, and the whole place was dirty. The staff seemed negligent and indifferent to guests. Stay away.

The service was so unfriendly that staff seemed not to care about any concerns, including the serious bed bug problem. That makes me think it'll remain an issue. The place is very cheap, but still not worth the money. Honestly, it's probably one of the worst places to stay in Seville. Do yourself a favor and book somewhere else.
