Hotel Maestranza

Luis and Andrea were a delight, and gave us some great restaurant suggestions. The room was comfortable, spotless, and very affordable. The hotel sits right in the old town, just a short walk from the cathedral and the main sights. Perfect location.

The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, and I’d definitely stay here again. We visited in Feb 2025 and found the room spacious enough, with plenty of storage, a comfortable bed, easy-to-use AC and heat, and charming decor. Everything was clean. It’s an easy walk to the big sights, while the hotel sits a little off the main tourist route. Nearby tapas bars seemed to be full of locals. Don’t let the “1-star” label put you off.

Luis at reception made a big impression on us. He helped with check-in and was always cheerful whenever we came back to the lobby. Since we’d never been to Saville, he took time to show us around the map and suggest places to eat and things to do. He was so enthusiastic that we got excited too. Thanks for the hospitality! The facility is lovely, the accommodations were great, and the air conditioning was especially appreciated. We’d certainly stay here again if we return to beautiful Saville.

I slept better here than anywhere else on the trip. The blinds on the windows block out all the light, so we could sleep late, which we really enjoyed. The rooms are small but adequate, with a good-sized bathroom and a comfortable shower. It’s a charming, unpretentious hotel in an amazing location, close to the main tourist attractions. The front desk staff were so nice, especially Fernando. The price was great for what you get, and I’d gladly come back.
