Hotel Mercer Sevilla 5 GL

The location is great, but for the money there are better options elsewhere. The hotel looks fancy on the surface, yet doesn’t get the basics right, so I don’t think it can claim to be a 5-star property. Some rooms have construction and maintenance problems. In one room I stayed in, the shower didn’t drain properly, leaving the floor feeling slimy, and some rooms had black mold in corners. Other rooms lacked proper heating. In winter, the temperature wouldn’t go above 21 degrees celcius, especially in first-level rooms tucked into corners without direct sun. Marble or tile floors in some rooms made them feel even colder. If you take the risk of staying here, make sure you get a hardwood floor. A portable heater was the only way to stay warm, which was an eyesore at $400/night. I also noticed wobbly bath tubs and broken faucet handles. The staff were nice and meant well, including the head of concierge, but many seemed inexperienced at handling complicated situations compared with other high-end properties from global chains.

The rooms were beautifully appointed and the service was so good. We had an incredible stay, and the breakfast was delicious.

We had a fabulous five nights. The place is beautifully decorated, and the rooftop pool was perfect after a day of exploring. It’s well located but tucked away from the busy areas, which made it very peaceful. The staff were attentive and went above and beyond. Hugo made amazing cocktails, and Pablo the concierge was extremely helpful. I’d recommend staying here.

The staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and incredibly helpful, with personal attention throughout my four-night stay. The on-site restaurant served amazing food, and the rooftop pool and bar made a sleek spot to relax. Mercer Hotel Sevilla is a beautifully restored palace, mixing historic charm with modern luxury. My spacious room had high ceilings and original architectural features alongside state-of-the-art amenities. An exceptional stay, highly recommended.
