Lola de Triana Apartments

The room was clean and the location made it easy to get to sightseeing spots. The apartment was a little cold because the AC didn’t heat it effectively. It was clean.

We paid almost 1,000 euros for four nights, and ended up in a cold, damp room with ants, a strong pesticide odor, smelly sheets, and a couch that smelled of mold. My girlfriend has a phobia of ants, and the pesticide smell was unbearable. We asked to move rooms and then requested a refund so we could leave for another hotel, but they said there was no other room and wouldn’t refund us. After we called, they sent a man who didn’t speak English to deal with it. The ants were still there and the smell remained. Then they stopped answering our calls and messages. We had many calls with the property, and they told Booking.com they would send someone again, but nobody came and nothing was fixed. The room was disgusting, and the staff were extremely unprofessional and rude. We were treated incredibly poorly.

The location was good, and at first the apartment seemed cozy, clean, and well equipped. I could cook there, and the small shower had hot water with good pressure. But there was a terrible smell at the entrance and in apartment nr 3, which I only understood on my last night. At 2 a.m. I spotted mold on the bedsheets, and realized the odor was from humidity and dirt. I’d slept on those moldy sheets for four nights, with the folded corners especially horrifying. The pool was disappointing too, tiny and right in front of windows from three apartments. I have a photo as proof in case someone says it’s a lie.

We loved every minute here. The apartment was cozy, modern, beautiful, and comfortable, with everything we needed for cooking, cleaning, and laundry. Staff got back to us quickly when we had questions. Its location was perfect for walking to well-known attractions, supermarkets, bakeries, and tapas places.
