The owners were very helpful and offered us a partial refund, but the flat had several problems. We were on the ground floor, with opaque windows, and no one mentioned that before we booked. The front door kept banging and waking us, and the soundproofing was poor enough that we could hear people in the flat above. Builders next door also started drilling and hammering at 8 each morning. I'd recommend checking which flat you're getting before booking. An upper floor would probably be better, since the ground-floor one is so close to the front door.
