We booked four nights and left within a few hours. This basement apartment has a strong sewage or mold smell that made us feel sick if we stayed in it. When we arrived, the owner had all the windows open, even in Seville’s 40°C heat, so the smell wasn’t immediately obvious. When we raised it, the response was, “You didn’t complain when you checked in.” There was also a huge swarm of insects, shown in the attached photos. The listing calls it a ground-floor unit with soundproofing and inner courtyard views. But people walk past the only window, and the apartment is in a half-basement below the building stairs, so I don’t see how it can be soundproofed. The first warning sign should be the door notice saying, “Complaints form available on request.” I’m concerned the owner may be manipulating reviews. Do you really think a basement apartment like this has 20 five-star Google reviews because it’s that good? I also wonder why it has good Booking.com reviews. People like me couldn’t leave one because the host canceled our booking after we left, so the platform treated it as if we’d never stayed. Don’t spend your time or money on this “ground floor” basement with insects and mold. I’ve filed a chargeback with my bank and am waiting to see what happens. Save yourself the hassle.

It was just right for me. The host was really nice, and the location was convenient on the first floor. If I come back to sevilla, I’ll definitely book this house again.

The location was excellent and the welcome was nice, but we didn’t like the apartment overall. It smelled unpleasant, especially the bathroom, which had a strong pipe odor. The toilet was awkwardly placed, and we nearly hit our heads on it several times. The shower’s hot water ran out after about two minutes, so the next person had to shower cold. The apartment felt cold and damp even with the air conditioning on heat. It was pretty neglected, with mold in the kitchen and a disgustingly dirty dish drainer. We also saw bugs.

The owner was incredibly friendly, professional, and attentive. We had a small issue, and he sorted it out right away. The place was cozy and clean in a fantastic part of Seville, and I personally had no trouble parking nearby. Everything was perfect. I hope things keep going well for him, and we’ll definitely come back.

It felt like more than just a place to stay, with a lovely Sevillian welcome. The accommodation is typical, well organized, and very well equipped, with perfect bedding and a handy washing machine. There’s a supermarket nearby. From the quiet little street near the center, you can visit everything on foot or by bus. Parking a vehicle isn’t so easy, though.
