We had a positive stay, and the apartment was extremely clean with a kitchenette and a washer-dryer, which came in handy. A parking lot about a 2-3 minute walk away seemed to cost around €24/day. The main downside was some noise. I chose a courtyard-facing apartment after reading other reviews, and I think that helped. Church bells across the street started at 830am. I think they rang every 15 minutes for maybe 30 minutes to an hour, but I’m not completely sure. If you’re asleep by 10pm and up before 830am, it’s manageable. Thanks for a good stay.

Apartment #2 had the usual amenities, including a dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, and coffee machine, though I didn’t use them enough to comment. It wasn’t cleaned especially well, either. I wouldn’t recommend staying here, and I wouldn’t return. I was surprised to find that this apartment was in a patio beside the main building, rather than inside it. If I’d known that was possible, especially as a solo traveller, I wouldn’t have booked. I felt exposed: the gate needed a code, but it looked easy to climb. I wish they’d told me in advance that an apartment could be outside the main building. The bathroom had an unpleasant smell, something I’d seen mentioned in a few reviews. The windows didn’t keep out noise. I could hear rain loudly and street sounds through the night. Worst was water pouring from what I think was the roof. In the bedroom, it sounded as if water were running inside the wall behind the bed. I couldn’t fall asleep until 3 AM, when the rain stopped and the noise died down. It sounds exaggerated, but it really was that loud.

The staff were lovely, and I can’t fault them. The apartment was large and well equipped, and the location was perfect. The bed was a bit firm and possibly single sized.

The flat itself is nice and perfectly placed for walking around, but there was dust and it could use a good scrub, especially along the skirting boards and floor. They only leave you one towel and don’t replace it. The church across the road rings in the morning, apparently every hour from around 8/9 am. The noise is unreal if you’re trying to sleep, and really let down the stay. I’d give it 3 stars for that reason alone.
