Suites Herrería de la Maestranza

The apartment was well equipped, with everything we needed, including a hairdryer, iron, washing machine and coffee maker. It was modern and roomy, the air conditioning worked very well, and there were plenty of clean towels. We were on the top floor, with a terrace and hot tub. The location was great, about five minutes from the cathedral and close to lots of good restaurants and bars. But the terrace had no parasols, despite them being shown in the photos. At 40 degrees, the lack of shade made it pretty unusable during the day. Since the terrace was a big reason we booked this apartment, we felt a bit short changed, especially as it could have been sorted during our stay. There was no staff at the property, and WhatsApp replies were quite slow.

We felt safe thanks to the apartment's own entrance and security, and the courtyard was a lovely touch. It was central and close to everything, yet tucked away and really quiet. The apartment was beautiful and super clean. A little more coffee, some milk and extra towels would have been nice. We'd happily stay again when we're next in Seville and will recommend it.

I paid the full amount after booking this apartment for August, and got a confirmation. The next day, the property messaged to say they had to decline the request. When I asked how to get my money back since they had cancelled, they didn't reply. I had to find another place and contact Booking customer service. Booking staff called the property, and were told the reservation was still active. How does that make sense? I didn't know what would happen if I turned up in Seville and was told it had been cancelled, leaving me without my money or somewhere to stay. After being treated like this, I wouldn't want to stay there anyway. Now they're trying to get ME to cancel the reservation so they don't have to return my money. Please don't make the same mistake I did. BEWARE OF FRAUD. DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS PROPERTY!

Check-in with the code was simple and clear, though we'd have preferred to meet someone in person. We appreciated having two bathrooms in the apartment, especially with a full group of women. There was coffee in the kitchen for each person, along with useful information about Sevilla. And the location was amazing, just around the corner from the river and city center.
