Club Simo Aparthotel

The hotel was clean, well organized, and convenient for families, with space for our children to play and relax. The atmosphere was calm and welcoming, and the staff were consistently kind, helpful, and professional, which made us comfortable throughout the visit. We enjoyed the tasty food, with enough variety for adults and children and an effort to offer balanced meals and kid-friendly options. It was a comfortable, pleasant stay for our family, and we’d be happy to return.

The food was delicious, with loads of choice, and those cakes are so rich you can forget the diet while you’re there :D The gym is also really well equipped compared with other hotels. We loved the palm trees, sports activities and three pools around the relaxing hotel grounds. Our room was comfortable and tidy, and the staff and animators were kind and helpful. Most activities seemed aimed at children, but we still never got bored. The performers and singers were on another level! The only small annoyance was the weak Wi-Fi in our room. We enjoyed Club Simo far more than expected and would definitely come back.

The pool, tennis and squash courts, and activities by the pool were about the only good points for me. The room looked old and dirty, and the mattress was very uncomfortable, though you can apparently ask to have it changed. Meals were cold, and people were jostling around and making a mess while getting food. Breakfast had little that was actually good, and it took ages for more food to come out. Some of the meat was thin and mushy, and some was raw. The burgers at lunch were a plus. There also weren’t enough places to sit at dinner, so we couldn’t find anywhere.

The pools have been pleasantly quiet, which mattered to us because our child has autism and we’d felt a bit anxious before coming. The staff are so friendly and cheerful, and Christian at the bar deserves a special mention. We had a good laugh on our first day when I explained that in the UK we ask for lager and lime, while here it’s called lime juice. He was surprised, and he’s a lovely, first-class person. We’re only on our second day, but so far this seems like a good hotel and apartment, and the food is good too. Breakfast can mean a bit of a queue if you go early, when most people are there, but later on it’s absolutely fine.
