Dinner turned out to be a real highlight: we were the only guests eating there one evening, so the service felt personal, and the four-course meal was excellent value at 25 EUR, excluding drinks. The menu said grilled fish, though, and what arrived was battered and deep-fried. The pool is spacious and was almost entirely ours in the mornings, with no towel-saving scramble. Free bike hire is available, though we didn't use it. The beach is a five-minute drive and there are several good hiking areas within 30-45 minutes, making this a useful base for exploring. We stayed at Son Corb Boutique Hotel in Cala Bona in mid to late September, just after the busiest season. It's in a lovely quiet spot, close to the beach and local attractions. Some evenings we could hear bass-heavy entertainment from nearby beach hotels, so it wasn't completely tranquil, but it didn't spoil our stay. The staff were exceptionally warm and attentive. The property itself feels dated, though it has some charm, and there was an old smell in the corridors and room. Opening the windows helped, but they were often closed again even when it was pleasant outside. The wardrobe smelled musty enough that we didn't want to hang our clothes in it. We also waited about 30 minutes for someone to help us check in, which was inconvenient.

Breakfast had plenty to choose from, the room had everything we needed, and we could use the bikes for free. Best of all was the relaxing pool area. Son Corb Hotel is peaceful and set back from the busy seafront, but still easy to reach when you want to go there. The staff were so friendly. We loved our stay and hope to come back.

I don't drive, and I was looking for an affordable finca for my Mallorca trip that was still walkable to the beach. Most places I found were remote or expensive, so I was glad this was one of the few that fit. The rural, quiet feel is lovely, yet Cala Bona harbour and Cala Millor beach are walkable. Free bike hire was fantastic, and we used the bikes every day. The rooms were clean and comfortable, with fresh fluffy towels and bedding. The country-house decor is tasteful and looks even better in person than in the photos. In early June it was very quiet, with plenty of sun loungers and a large, clean pool. Andrew and Isabel were both kind and looked after us so well. We were also upgraded and given complimentary wine and a fruit platter. A couple of small things: there's no lock on the bathroom door, and the pool isn't heated, so it was a little chilly in late May and early June. The AC felt old and a bit weak, though maybe we weren't using it right. Luckily it was only 24/25 degrees while we were there. I'd recommend this finca for a quiet, rural, farm-like stay near the beach.

We came for a week of rest and left feeling our expectations had been exceeded. It's a charming, lovely hotel, the staff are very friendly, everything is cleaned thoroughly, and breakfast is fantastic.

The pool is large and pleasant, and breakfast was okay, but at this price the overall experience felt mediocre. The hotel is quiet and looks nice, yet it seems overpriced for the service. With the AC running, there's an odd smell at reception. Staff came across as somewhat unfriendly and inattentive. There were no minibar soft drink prices in the room, the sheets had stains, and asking for coffee 15 minutes before breakfast began meant being charged.
