Son Floriana - Villa With Private Pool. Free Wifi

We went to Casa Son Floriana as two families. The setting is excellent, but the accommodation is very outdated. The kitchen isn't well equipped, and the dining chairs are broken, with two of them missing legs. The biggest problem was the mosquitoes in the garden. They made it hard to spend time outdoors in the evenings, and there were no mosquito nets on the windows.

The restaurant in the finca was almost fully booked, but as hotel guests we were always able to get a table. Both the food and the service in the hotel and restaurant were extra class. We felt very comfortable and will certainly be back soon. We stayed in the “Cala Pi” junior suite, which had two terraces, a view of the pool, and a huge bathroom with both a shower and bathtub. The old finca has just a few rooms and is only a few minutes' walk from lively Cala Bona and the beach. Everything is lovingly and expertly furnished, decorated with typical Mallorcan accessories.

We had bikes, but the promenade is also only a 10 minute walk away. There are good little restaurants nearby with reasonably priced food, and a small supermarket is a 5-minute walk. The rooster and dogs are still there, but they didn't bother us. With good ventilation, the temperatures were fine for us, and our children slept well. We thought the price-performance ratio was excellent, especially compared with what other places cost per night. We'd love to return, and we've already booked! 😄😄😄 The house is beautiful, clean, and well equipped with everything you need for a country house. It looks like quite a bit has been renovated since last year, when we also saw it and it was as described. There's new garden furniture, a new patio roof, and a separate seating area by the pool that's really great. The separate pool bathroom, with a shower and toilet, is particularly useful. The main bathroom was perfectly fine, and the other bathroom facilities are typical for a holiday home.

The living area is upstairs, where it gets incredibly hot without air conditioning. We had to leave the windows open overnight, but with two large dogs and a rooster living next door, sleep was difficult. A relaxing holiday just isn't possible here. Not recommended! This finca has a lot of potential, but it's incredibly neglected and run-down. The grounds are unkempt, the bathroom fixtures are heavily scaled and dirty, and some are broken. The pool kept losing water during our stay, so we had to refill it ourselves. It was cleaned only once a week. The advertised barbecue wasn't there, the parasol was broken, and the old garden furniture should have been replaced long ago.
