Aparthotel Tropicana

Ana, Sara, David, and Raul from the entertainment team were all amazing. Ana made sure the older guests could have fun and enjoy themselves too. The bar, reception and room service were excellent, and I really loved staying at this hotel. For me, it's a 10/10.

The rooms were roomy, with separate bedrooms and clean beds, though the overall room cleanliness was only so-so. Meals were much the same, just okay, and there's barely any snack bar. The bar staff were friendly. Good value if you're not planning to spend all your time at the hotel.

The bar is a bright spot at Aparthotel Tropicana: the bartenders are friendly and make excellent drinks. The hotel is clean too. Food is a matter of taste; it wasn't special, but it was fine for me. Still, I don't think the place merits four stars, and even three would be generous. One room had no working air conditioning for three days, and repeated requests didn't get it sorted quickly. We also had occasional cold-water problems. On our last evening, there was no cold water at all from 9 p.m. until 7:20 the next morning, only scalding hot water. The stay fell short of what I expected from a four-star hotel.

The staff were pleasant throughout and I had no problems with them. The children's entertainment was limited, although the two staff members doing it tried their best. The food was only okay, so don't expect anything amazing. The facilities felt dated, the mattress was rock hard, and the kids' playground was falling apart and looked like an accident waiting to happen. There was mould around the inside edges of the pool. Apart from a cleaning robot being put in every morning, I didn't see it being cleaned. Our room's air conditioning didn't work for half the stay. A technician came several times over two days without fixing it. We only got fans on the second night and then had to ask to change rooms. Twice we were told it was fixed, but it wasn't. I asked to speak with the manager about losing air conditioning for half our trip and was told he'd talk to me the next day, but nothing came of it.
