Right in the middle of the village, there’s a lovely picnic spot with a little pool and barbecue. The owners are so friendly, and the house has what you need for a relaxing break with family or friends. It’s been renovated and decorated beautifully. There’s a washing machine, oven and dishwasher, plus an en-suite bathroom in every bedroom. Some bathrooms have whirlpool tubs, and every room has a fan.

The man who welcomed us was really friendly. He brought over firewood for the coals and checked that we were comfortable. The house itself is lovely for a group of friends or family, with the comforts of a hotel but in a home. Each of the four spacious bedrooms has an en-suite bathroom and a whirlpool tub. There’s a patio outside with a barbecue, table and wood-burning oven, plus a roomy wine cellar with a fireplace, a full kitchen and a cozy living room with another fireplace.

A peaceful spot if you’re looking to rest and unwind. Bejar is only 10 minutes away by car, and Salamanca is about 50 minutes away.

The kitchen smells bad, some of the light bulbs are out, and a few bathtubs don’t work properly. Not great.
