Hotel El Peirón

The village is a little gem, small but still authentic and not overrun with tourists. We stayed one night at El Peiron as a stopover and really enjoyed it. The hotel is right in the center and can’t be reached directly by car, which adds to its charm and originality. It was very clean and well maintained, with impressive attention to detail in the finish. For the quality, the price was excellent and our short stay felt like great value.

We asked for a triple room, but it felt a bit tight, probably a double with an extra bed. The hotel itself was lovely, very clean and comfortable, and beautifully modernized inside an ancient structure. Another reviewer mentioned noisy a/c, but we didn’t find it loud at all. Don’t miss the church or the exceptionally well-preserved medieval painted stucco crypt from the 12th c.

A family-run hotel in an old mountain city, with nice, clean rooms and really nice people. The shower was amazing, with a rain head, body spray, hand spay and cascade wash. If you like Spanish hill towns, this place is worth a visit.

The cakes are a highlight, especially the pumpkin one, which is worth trying. Breakfast was generous, and the staff make the delicious cakes themselves. Our room and the service were perfect, and both the building and its location are something else.
