The evening music and the hosts’ tours around the area were such a lovely part of our stay. We stopped here for a few days of rest while hiking the Camino de Santiago, and it became one of the highlights of our three weeks in Spain. The place has a character all its own and was really comfortable. Our hosts were so welcoming, and the food was some of the best I ate in Spain. They were also happy to work around our tastes and dietary needs. Thanks for a great stay, we hope to make it back someday!

The family who live here are what I liked most. They’re warm, friendly, and thoughtful, and make you feel good from the start. The food is excellent too, made with local ingredients that taste fresh and real. Casa do Romualdo sits in a beautiful landscape in Taboada. It’s a restored old stone building that feels like something from a dream. You can come for lunch or dinner and have a great day, though after seeing it you’ll probably want to stay the night, and maybe a few more.

We’ll be back soon ❤️ This is a place to breathe, reflect, feel connected, and begin again. There’s so much to learn here about the Ribeira Sacra, and about life. Francisco, thank you for sharing your knowledge of Galicia's heritage and for showing us your wonderful sense of humor about life. Maruxa, your delicious meals made our stomachs and hearts happy. Thank you both for sharing and helping us live the life we choose.
