Finca El Pastel

I love how rural and quiet it is here, with all that nature, fruit and vegetables, and even a farm. The smell when you walk in is so nice, and the view is breathtaking. It’s cooler than the coast, so bring warm clothes. They don’t speak English, like most people around here. The road is fine, though getting up here can be a little tricky at first; you get used to it. It feels safe, and the doors have automatic locks. Breakfast has lots to choose from: ham and other meats, granola, sweets, coffee, smoothies, honey, three kinds of bread, and fresh fruit, including fruit chopped from their garden. You can have as much as you want and go back as often as you like. I ate at 9:30am and wasn’t hungry again until 15pm 😍 This place is my cup of tea. I’d recommend it.

The peaceful setting comes with a small outdoor pool, places to sit, and a large parking lot behind the property. It’s easy to get to bigger cities like Puerto de la Cruz and Santa Cruz, and the northern airport is close too. We loved the view over the city and the generous breakfast. There was a different fruit smoothie every morning, little omelettes made straight from their farm, plenty of sweets, and decent coffee. Our room was spotless, smelled lovely, and was cleaned daily. Each evening we came back to little treats and sweet notes on the table. We didn’t spend much time with the owners, but they look after the place well and made us feel welcome.

A lovely, relaxing base for a few days exploring North Tenerife. There are plenty of restaurants a short drive away, and the rooms are modern and very clean. Breakfast was tasty with lots to choose from. We’ll be back soon, 10/10.

The breakfast was good and the place itself is nice, though the coffee comes from a machine. What’s missing at the finca is a personal touch. Nobody was there when we arrived; they just gave us a pin to get in. We even had to help other guests through the main gate. It was difficult to get hold of the people responsible for the finca. The people on site, cooking breakfast and cleaning, were really nice, though. Five stars to them!
