Sands Beach Resort

The food was delicious at every meal, especially dinner, and I thought the prices were very reasonable. Full board was well worth it. I also found the supermarket inside the resort really convenient. The staff were all so friendly and polite. When I hurt my foot, a lifeguard helped me, and the woman at reception was very courteous too. The apartment was clean, beautiful, and extremely comfortable, with fresh towels provided regularly. The reception area was gorgeous, the pools were lovely, and the private beach was amazing and well maintained. We had a stunning view, took beautiful photos, and came away with wonderful memories. A really delightful stay at Sands Beach Resort!

The staff were polite and friendly, and the cleaners were especially helpful. We were pleasantly surprised to see them almost every day. Even so, we wouldn’t return. We weren’t expecting five star luxury, but both the apartment and the complex need a major overhaul. The reception looked old and tired, and although there was a gym and indoor sports area, the equipment was missing or in poor condition. The rubber mats were dirty and clearly hadn’t been cleaned recently. Our first apartment was described as ‘beach front’ but faced a low wall. Reception staff were helpful and moved us to a place with a better outlook. Both apartments still needed a makeover, which seemed to be a common issue from what other guests said and the reviews we read. The path to the apartment had cracked tiles, and the front door lock didn’t work properly. Inside, the curtains were shabby and missing rings. The sofa was frayed, sagging, and smelled dusty. Some dining chairs were badly repaired and still missing pieces, and one was wobbly. There were dead insects and mould spots inside the bedroom roller blind. The bed frame squeaked whenever we moved. Maybe because of the wet weather, the bedroom and bathroom smelled more and more damp as the holiday went on. The worst issue was a cracked socket hanging off the living room wall with bare wires showing. On our last morning, my wife was drying her hair with the wall mounted hairdryer when it started whining loudly, popped, and smelled burnt. The nozzle had melted.

The apartments were spacious, clean, and well equipped, and waking up to the ocean breeze before walking along the beach was a memorable part of the stay. Everything felt calm and comfortable, with a beautiful beachfront setting that shows off the charm of Lanzarote. The whitewashed buildings and peaceful lagoons made the resort feel lovely. Pools, restaurants, and facilities were excellent, and the staff were friendly and attentive. A relaxing, well located place to enjoy Lanzarote’s natural beauty.

We spent four nights here for my husband’s 40th. The room was spacious, modern, and clean, and the bed was really comfortable. The hotel itself was clean and in a great location. It looks like they’re updating the rooms gradually. We had bed and breakfast, with a huge selection of very nice food. Not a single cockroach, and I really can’t fault our stay.
