The apartment was clean, well insulated, and had good air-conditioning. It’s also a convenient base for visiting Toledo’s historic center. There’s no elevator, and a few things need fixing: one chair was broken, the sofa bed mechanism didn’t work properly, and there weren’t enough pillows. Sorting those issues out could bring it up to four or five stars.

The location was spectacular, but we wouldn’t stay again. It’s on the third floor with no elevator, and getting up the very narrow stairs was difficult. The bedroom was quite small, and although there was a mirror, it wasn’t possible to see yourself properly in it. We spent two nights there.

For our needs, which were basically just having somewhere to sleep, this simple apartment was enough. It has an en-suite bathroom, with the kitchen, living room, and bedroom sharing one open-plan space. It’s only 20 meters from Zocodover Square, with bars around it and parking nearby, yet it was quiet. The air conditioning was the trouble. It ran for about 15 minutes, then switched off. When we called the contact number, they told us to switch off the circuit breaker and turn it back on. We had to do that three times during the night. The building’s main entrance door could also use a good cleaning.

The host was incredibly rude and aggressive, and the whole stay was awful. I’ve never dealt with such a rude host, and we won’t return or recommend the place. The tobacco smell was unbearable. Smoking is allowed on the premises, and when we got home our clothes were so permeated with it that we had to wash everything. The place was filthy, with no regard for the accommodation or guests. It felt like the host only cared about making money. There was no soundproofing. We heard the neighbors and everyone going up and down the stairs, and the noise woke us every night. It was a very unpleasant experience. If you can spend a little more and stay somewhere else, you’ll be glad you did.
