That winding, narrow cobblestone approach through the hills is a little tricky, like the rest of this part of Toledo, but it adds to the charm. The hotel itself is also in a great spot. We stayed two nights in early October in a Deluxe double room, and it was clean, roomy, and very nice. Breakfast was good too. We’d arrived late after several hours on the road and must have looked exhausted. Someone from the lobby came over and practically insisted we take cups of water. Such a thoughtful welcome.

That scent is impossible to escape. The hotel’s signature fragrance was so strong that we could smell it from the street, about 50 feet away, as we walked back on the second morning. I tried holding my breath on the way from our room to the exit, then, embarrassed, ended up covering my nose. Now all my clothes smell of it. If strong fragrances don’t bother you, you may enjoy the stay. There were plenty of good things too: the location is perfect, the staff were lovely, professional, and very helpful, and the room was well equipped. The linens were exceptional and the bed was extremely comfortable. Book a spot well ahead for dinner at Taberna Boltero and lunch at Skala. We also had a great meal at Marrakech.

The location is perfect, the staff are friendly, and breakfast was one of the best I’ve had at a 4-star hotel. Highly recommend staying here for a night or a few in Toledo.

Right by the Cathedral in the middle of Toledo’s old city, this is a beautiful place to stay. The rooms have been renovated with care while keeping their original charm. Everything was clean and felt luxurious, the facilities were excellent, and the beds and pillows were super comfortable.

Reception were friendly and very helpful, and the hotel’s renovation and decor are tastefully done. The rooms are lovely, and the central old city location is great. Breakfast staff seemed a bit unsure about keeping food topped up when things ran out. Even so, we had a very enjoyable stay and I’d recommend the hotel.
