Camping El Greco Toledo

The welcome at reception was good, and our pitch was a decent size. We walked into the city on both days, but it takes a good 30 minutes each way, so that distance may not suit everyone. Do take the nature path along the river and leave the city behind for a bit. It’s stunning. Cleanliness was the letdown. Based on what other people had said, I can only guess the cleaner was away for the three days we stayed. I used the same shower cubicle every day, and the same dead insect stayed in exactly the same spot on the bench. There’s no way anyone cleaned that cubicle while we were there. Apart from that, my husband and I both found the shower cubicles generally grubby. See photos.

The bar and restaurant on site are very good, with amazing views of old Toledo. There’s also a big pool, though it was being refurbished when we visited in May 2026. We had a large, flat pitch at the far end on the left, with good electrics. The site was good for exploring Toledo, about a 45-minute walk or a bus ride, and the city is definitely worth seeing. The facilities were good overall, but the hot water was unreliable. I got cold water for all three of my showers. It’s still a great site for motorhomes if you’re visiting Toledo.

We visited in February and the campsite was lovely and quiet, though it’s probably much busier in summer. The amenities were very clean and the showers hot. Staff were friendly, and the restaurant on site had terrific food and service. It costs more than most sites, but it’s well worth it. The top sights in Toledo are a 20-minute walk away.

The pitches are large, and the pool is fantastic. Toilets and showers were clean and in good shape. Reception has the basics if you’ve forgotten something. Getting to central Toledo is easy: a taxi cost only €7, and there’s also a bus stop on the road outside the site.
