We booked one of their rentals through Booking.com ages ago for my multi-generational family, with the stay due in under two weeks. A few days after a scheduled payment went through successfully, they cancelled. The host’s stated reason was that the rental was temporarily or permanently closed, yet it still appeared as available on multiple systems, just at a higher price. Now getting the refund back is a drawn-out process, and we have fewer last-minute options. We’d be in a better mood to deal with the hassle if the whole thing seemed less shady. Calling the company to ask why they cancelled was awful too. The woman told me to contact only Bookjng.com instead of them. Booking’s customer service was much more gracious and helpful. If you need a short-term rental, check whether this company manages it before booking. I wouldn’t trust them.

The missing dryer was the main reason I gave up on the booking. The listing promised a washer and dryer, but the person who let us in said the dryer “did not work very well,” even though there wasn’t a dryer there at all. After that and the other problems, we decided to cancel. When I asked for a refund because the advertised amenities weren’t provided, they refused and sent me to Airbnb. I’ve hosted four Airbnb properties myself, and I know refunds through the platform aren’t difficult. It’s clear to me that Toledo AP Apartments is advertising services it doesn’t have, and that kind of dishonesty is unacceptable. Getting into the apartment was already a struggle. I first got a friendly message after booking, then heard nothing back on Airbnb for an hour and a half before our agreed check-in. Their automated replies were frustrating, and even after I finally spoke to a worker, we waited well past the check-in time for someone to meet us. For a company managing more than 60 apartments in Toledo, I expected much more professionalism and basic respect. Inside, the place smelled strongly of damp and sewage. The furniture and walls were filthy, and the apartment didn’t look like the photos. Several listed amenities were missing. Throughout the stay, the staff came across as rude and uncaring, with no empathy or basic customer service. I felt the company cared only about getting as much money from guests as possible, not their comfort. This was a nightmare, and I hope Toledo AP Apartments takes responsibility and improves its properties and service. I’ll be telling others what happened so they can avoid the same disappointment.

We stayed at the Mirador de Cathedral, close to Zocodover square. The apartment was lovely and clean, and the staff were really helpful, answering our questions quickly. I’d recommend it to family and friends.

Just great, really. Had a lovely time.
