Hotel YIT Conquista de Toledo

We were close to all the sights, which is what you want for a short stay. The ground floor room was clean and stayed cool even though it was 39C outside. There wasn’t a view, but tourists probably won’t mind. The walls are thin, as others have said. Breakfast was a good continental Spanish buffet with some local food. Recommended.

The beds were so comfortable that we slept great, and the room itself was very nice and clean. The hotel is also handy for getting around, with the major historical sites an easy or reasonable walk away and all kinds of public transport close by. One thing to know, the description says every room has a balcony, but ours only had a window. Breakfast was good, though fairly basic compared with other places we’ve stayed in Spain. I don’t understand the low Google reviews. We had a great stay and would definitely recommend it.

The location is hard to beat, about a minute from everything, and they have luggage storage. They also let us check in early, which we appreciated. Our ground floor room was clean, but it felt dark and sad, and there was a lot of noise.

We slept fine, and the hotel is on a quiet street in the historic part of the city. But nothing about the stay felt above average, maybe a little below. Our double room was smaller than the one shown online, and the bath in the corner was under a metre long, so it was basically just a shower. There was mold in the bathroom and an old smell in the room. Three out of five.
