Parking was excellent, with plenty of space, and the owner was fantastic and very helpful. The place was very clean and good value, and we enjoyed our two-night stay. It’s a different kind of place, and I’d recommend it. The only snag was finding it, but we got there in the end.

The customer service felt stuck in another era, with little professionalism or friendliness. When we arrived to check in, we handed over the required papers, our European Union citizenship certificate and European driving license. Before even a simple good morning, we were bluntly told only the certificate was needed. We explained that it has no photo and that we were showing the license to help identify ourselves and avoid possible issues with future guests. All we got was an awkward silence and a very disapproving look. The room’s shower was broken, so one of us had to hold the showerhead while the other tried to wash. Breakfast was especially meager: two small pieces of fruit, iced tea, and two slices of cheese. The old-fashioned feel extended throughout the stay. The house has rural charm and could suit someone looking for a traditional setting, but it seemed to recreate a country house from decades ago in every respect. It was a unique experience, and everyone can decide whether that’s what they want on vacation.
