Complejo Rural Finca Valvellidos

Avelino's warmth and trust made the stay feel like a family gathering. The guests were considerate of each other's space and noise, and the place stayed peaceful throughout our 10 days in mid-August. We first came in summer 2025 with our little ones, and those few days were unforgettable. We already know it won't be our last visit. The Finca sits a short drive from the village of Jaraiz, about 5-6 minutes away, though getting there means taking a detour along a dirt road. That suited us, since quiet nights were what we wanted and we planned to use the car to explore the area, including its natural pools and village cultural events. There are several cozy, well-equipped bungalows around a courtyard, with a bar, a shared lounge, and a small pool. Avelino also cooks homemade meals that are hard to put a value on. I don't know how many guests the Finca can accommodate, but there never seemed to be many around.

We were made to feel completely at home. They often checked in on us, explained the nearby natural pools, and gave us a map that helped us find them easily. There's also a garden, pool, and outdoor shared space if you'd rather stay in. The road is a bit out of the way, but it's well maintained and any car can manage it, even a low one. Our room was spacious, with two double beds. A small fridge and microwave were just outside the bedroom entrance. The staff, Avelino, Piter, and Mely, were warm, attentive, professional, and especially sweet with our child. We had breakfast each morning in the indoor dining room, where toast was made fresh and coffee, hot chocolate, and fresh orange juice were ready. Our little one loved the juice. There was homemade salmorejo, muffins, jam, butter, and more. Breakfast was included. Avelino asked each morning what we wanted for lunch and dinner, then took care of it all. One lunch started with chickpea broth and noodles, plus tomato, lettuce, and onion salad. For the main course, we had meatballs in sauce and diced fried potatoes for the children, while we had grilled hake with spices. Dinner was in another room with a bar. We had grilled vegetables or zucchini purée, along with small fillets and a house specialty. Everything was delicious. Avelino is a very good cook, and we'll be back as soon as we can. Thank you.

We came away feeling really looked after. Abelino and his partner were so welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed. It's a lovely spot for families, with a great setting for slowing down and relaxing. We'll be back, thanks!

We came to explore the La Vera region, and the location worked perfectly. Our daughter loved how welcoming the property felt. Thanks to Avelino for being so kind and hospitable. We'll definitely return. Highly recommended.
