AluaSun Costa Park

I spent a week at the AluaSun Resort. For the price, it was a decent stay, though several things need work. My room was consistently clean, and the restaurant staff worked incredibly hard. The front desk, however, was often understaffed and the queues could get long. Antonio deserves a special mention. He went out of his way to give me directions and tried to reach the trip agency after Karin, the manager, gave me the wrong time. His professionalism stood out. Karin’s customer service also came up short when the free shuttle bus failed to appear several times. Even after two days, she still couldn’t explain what had happened. I’m also concerned about pool safety. The lifeguards were sitting out of view in a hidden corner one day, and didn’t notice a child drowning. I had to jump into the water. I hope the parents reported it to reception. Better staffing, clearer communication and more attention to safety would make the resort much better. It offers fair value as it is.

We had a great family holiday as six. The hotel has beautiful views and entertainment that kept the kids busy, with more for adults later in the evening. Staff were friendly with everyone and especially good with children. The all inclusive restaurant was very clean and had lots of choices. The rooms are a nice size and very clean, though dated. We’ll be back next year.

The rooms were spotless, and the cleaners were friendly, making the beds and changing towels every day. The facilities were clean too, though a few sun loungers were worn and torn at the sides. Staff were polite, helpful and so friendly. Dinner got a bit boring on some nights, but we were happy with the food about 90% of the time. Evening entertainment was okay, and the singers were my favourite. Bar queues were annoying when there was sometimes only one barman, but he was always friendly and chatty. We were happy with the stay and thought it was good value.

We spent three nights at AluaSun Costa Park at the end of September and had a good stay overall. My room was spacious, with a balcony looking over the pool, and the staff were helpful and friendly. There’s a good range of activities, especially for children, and the hotel offers good value in a convenient location. The breakfast buffet was okay but could use more variety. The outside looks modern, while the hallways and staircases feel dated. Music carries on until midnight, so light sleepers may want a room away from the pool. A pleasant option for families or a short break, with a few minor drawbacks.
