Neptune

The staff were friendly and helpful, and everything was clean and well organised. My room looked out over the Mediterranean, which was lovely, and the hotel is right on the beach. There wasn't any hotel parking available during my week because of the Rockin' Race Jamboree, but I found plenty of free parking nearby, so it caused no problem.

The Christmas Day Gala Dinner was excellent, and the staff worked really hard to make it enjoyable. It was a well organised event. The food was decent with plenty of choice, and everyone I encountered, from reception and the dining room to housekeeping, was really nice. We had a lovely Christmas break here. The rooms were a good size, spotlessly clean, and had lots of space for clothes and other things, plus a full size fridge. It's a nice hotel and I'd recommend it.

Dinner was fairly good, with tasty variety, though sometimes it wasn't served hot enough. Breakfast was less satisfying: the coffee was good, but the cold cuts and cheeses were very low quality. The staff were quite friendly, and the room was clean. The location is convenient for the plaza, but the surrounding area felt poor and underdeveloped. The hotel seems more like a 2-3 star place. Very good cleanliness couldn't make up for the old utilities and dated furniture. Our room was near the elevators, and one made a constant rubbing sound that made sleeping difficult. The bathroom fixtures were old and worn, with peeling surfaces, and the door was visibly swollen with age.

The beach is only a few steps away, with shops, the marina, parks, restaurants, and other attractions within a short walk. The staff were welcoming and happy to help with anything. There was a huge, high quality choice of food at breakfast and dinner, and the free entertainment had something for everyone. The kids enjoyed the free pool and the basketball, football, and ping pong area. I even became quite the water volleyball and boules expert after joining a few organised games. Really top class, I can't recommend it highly enough.
