For one night, it did the job, though the stay was pretty average. The bed was comfortable, there was cold beer at the bar, and the bar staff were really helpful. The room smelled of smoke, but the air conditioning helped. Breakfast was poor, and reception staff were only average. WiFi was weak and unsecured, so my laptop wouldn't connect. There wasn't hotel parking as described, just street parking. The Guarda Civil station is right across from the hotel.

Torrijos is a cute little town to wander around in the morning, and Hotel El Meson worked well as a reasonably priced base for a day trip to Toledo. It's a short drive, and the hotel was a better quality than similarly priced places closer to or in Toledo. It's basic, and the good points tend to come with drawbacks. The room was clean and the air conditioning worked well, but the beds were firm and not very comfortable. WiFi had a solid signal until the network disappeared from every list around 7am, and it stayed gone until we checked out at noon. For the price, I'd call it a middle of the road hotel.

A stressful thing to discover just an hour before the wedding: there was no shampoo or hairdryer in the room. The receptionist just shrugged when we couldn't understand each other. Luckily, the people in the bedroom next door helped us out.

The rooms were clean, the food was great, and the staff made us feel very welcome. A great hotel for an incredibly low price.

For a rural area, it was good and clean. There's also a nice restaurant and bar.
