Balcon del Velillos - Rincón de Marcelo

The hosts were genuinely lovely, helpful people and did their best to make us comfortable, including accommodating our requests. Our room was clean and comfortable, with great views. Highly recommend.

The magnificent view was a lovely bonus, but what stayed with us was the service. We arrived without a reservation and urgently needed somewhere to stay. The owners welcomed us in, and we were so grateful for their kindness.

We had a great experience here. The hosts were friendly, the location was great, and the price was reasonable. We appreciated it a lot and would recommend it to anyone interested.

As a guest, you have to take into account where a place is and what difficulties the hosts may face in welcoming you. With that said, I THANK GOD for putting a family like Victor’s in my path. His father, Mr Marcelo, welcomed me kindly and helpfully. You can drive right up to the door :-) He helped with my luggage, and when we came out of the elevator, which I imagine might be the only one in the village, I saw a beautiful sunset from the terrace. I just said it deserved a glass of wine, and Mr Marcelo asked, “White or red?” While I was settling into my room, he had already left a glass on one of the tables. Victor had just arrived from Granada and brought me a little plate of delicious olives. When the light went out, I went down to the dining room. I could still see the day fading as I ate ‘choto’ prepared by his mother, D. Mari Luz. It was the kind of food that warms your soul and heart, the kind you eat with a prayer. No matter how luxurious a resort might be, none could have made me feel better than the warm welcome at Balcón. THANK YOU, THANK YOU & MANY MORE THANKS.
