Alojamientos Plaza Mayor

The room was clean and simple, and the bed was comfortable, but it was tiny and getting to the toilet and shower was awkward. The central spot in Trujillo is the main plus. For what it costs, the value seems fair, though I suspect it's a tourist town and other places were much pricier.

The square is right outside, and with a bit of luck you get a view of it from your room. Weekends bring some terrace chatter, but it's mostly quiet. The bed was comfortable; the pillow really wasn't. A few things could use attention. Cancellations should be allowed with less than a week's notice, since unexpected plans can change at the last minute. The toilet seats would be an easy, inexpensive improvement. And those tiny CRT televisions look out of place in 2024, so I'd rather see them replaced or removed. We had a good view over Plaza Mayor from our room, and the double glazing kept the noise out. It was clean and straightforward, with a fridge and bathroom. The rooms are budget-friendly and sit right on Trujillo's Plaza Mayor. You have to use the stairs because there's no elevator, which makes sense in an old building.

Such a charming hotel in a lovely town. We arrived without a booking, and they found us a room straight away. It was comfortable and really pleasant. Thanks so much for the warm welcome!
