I slept so well that I felt ready and inspired to set off on the Camino the next morning. Hotel A Torre do Xudeu is in a peaceful spot, well placed for pilgrims starting their walk. The rooms were spotless, cozy, and carefully prepared, and the whole hotel is kept beautifully, with plenty of charm and comfort. The welcome made the stay especially good. The staff were kind and helpful, and offered advice and encouragement so I felt supported before the journey. I couldn’t have picked a better place to begin.

The breakfast was great, and the location puts you right in the old town, on the Camino. I didn’t expect the place to be this nice. It felt a bit like an upscale medieval manor, looked astonishing, and I ended up taking lots of pictures.

The building and its adjoining garden are lovely, right in the heart of the old city, and breakfast was great. The staff were so friendly and helpful that they even rescued me out on the street after I got myself turned around with the navigation tool. I only stayed overnight this time, but next time I’m in Tui I’ll stay longer. Looking forward to coming back.

The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, and the outdoor space was phenomenal. Our room was large, with a spectacular view, though being on the top floor meant a lot of it wasn’t usable. There’s no elevator to that floor, so heavy suitcases could be a problem.

Tui has a brilliant atmosphere and is a beautiful historic town. If you have a little time, the historic sites are well worth a visit. The hotel itself was superb, very clean, with comfortable beds, an excellent location, and friendly, helpful staff.
