The apartment looks really cute, which is why I was considering booking it for a month while working remotely. I asked the landlord how fast the WiFi was so I could make sure it would work for my job. The response was very slow, and I didn’t feel they were customer oriented. A pity.

I stayed for nearly two months for work, and I’d happily return to Agua Marina Apartments when I come back to Fuerteventura on holiday. María Teresa is so welcoming, and the apartments are spotless. The ground-floor places have roomy terraces set up for meals, sunbathing, and relaxing. Upstairs, the terraces look out over spectacular sea views. She can also do your laundry if you want, and it comes back smelling wonderful.

The village has two good restaurants, and we took the bus to Morro Jable whenever we wanted to go to the beach. A one-way fare was €3.50 per person. Our accommodation was very clean and good. Maria, the landlady, speaks German and was always available to help when needed.
