Hearts & Home

Marian and Juan made us feel like part of the family with their warmth and humour. Nothing was too much trouble, and we loved chatting and laughing with them. On arrival, Marian had prepared a fabulous board of cheeses and hams, plus welcome fizz. It was a perfect start. Hearts and Home is a peaceful haven, and the decor throughout the house feels warm and serene. Our room was immaculate and very spacious, with a sea-view balcony, a huge comfortable bed, and lovely pillows. The contemporary bathroom was large, with a powerful shower and plenty of hot water. There’s a pool for cooling off, and the sun shines on the balcony all day. Breakfast was as good as at any five-star hotel we’ve stayed in: homemade granola with fresh fruit, yoghurt, seeds, and nuts, fresh orange juice, freshly baked croissants, and one of the best omelettes we’ve ever had. We had hired a car and found the property easily with sat nav. There’s plenty of parking, and the outlook is lovely, with the sea on the horizon. Mijas Pueblo centre is a ten-minute walk away, with some great tapas bars. The bus stop outside the garage is five minutes on foot, with routes to Fuengirola, Torremolinos, and Marbella, so it’s easy to get around without a car too. For the quality of everything, I think the place could charge even more. I can’t recommend it highly enough. Thank you, Marian and Juan, for making our first visit to Mijas so special.

An was a superb host, and we loved hearing about her life journey and the passion behind creating such a unique place in Mijas. My wife and I spent three romantic nights at this idyllic B&B overlooking the Costa del Sol. After swimming through the crowds at the usual attractions, it was a lovely way to unwind and relax. We’re definitely coming back for a much longer stay.

The walk into Mijas village takes about 10 minutes, and the countryside views along the way are lovely. Though the B&B sits a little outside town, it worked well for exploring, and our host shared useful tips for places to visit and eat. We also loved starting the day on the terrace, with its sweeping Costa del Sol views, and having a fresh breakfast made with local ingredients. The morning staff were friendly and easy to talk to. Our room was spacious, the bed really comfortable, and the cozy linens and carefully chosen decor made it feel special. The whole place has plenty of charm, and we were welcomed so warmly from the minute we arrived. The owner made a real effort to make us feel at home. We had a delightful weekend at Hearts and Home/Casa Corazon in Mijas, Andalucia, and would love to return.

The pool was our favorite place to unwind, with quiet surroundings and lovely views. There were other peaceful spots to sit with a book or a glass of wine, too, and the honesty bar was a nice touch. Breakfast was top-tier and freshly prepared. An was such a warm, thoughtful host, always attentive without making a fuss, and her local suggestions made the trip more memorable. Hearts and Home has been renovated beautifully, with tasteful interiors, panoramic views, and a calm atmosphere throughout. It was easy to walk to Mijas Pueblo in about 10-15 minutes, while the beach was a short drive away for a swim or an afternoon by the sea. From the terrace to breakfast, everything felt carefully looked after. We loved our stay and will definitely come back.
