Upstairs, both bedrooms have their own bathrooms, which worked really well for two couples. Downstairs there’s a cozy living and dining space with a well-equipped kitchen, a good TV, a very comfortable sofa, and another bathroom. The house is small, charming, and tastefully decorated, with good heating that keeps it warm. I chose it based on the reviews, and it turned out even better than I expected. A great place to stay for the Burgo de Osma area or Río Lobos canyon.

Casa Alyagas is a fantastic choice for a family weekend in the area. Everything was spotless and carefully looked after, with a fully equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, fresh towels and sheets, and new bathrooms that each had a hairdryer. The pellet boiler gives off plenty of heat, though the upstairs takes a bit longer to warm up. You can hear it in the downstairs bedroom because it’s inside the wardrobe, so it could bother anyone who’s sensitive to noise.

It’s a tiny village, but a handy starting point for driving to lots of interesting places. The accommodation was very clean and everything seemed new.

The hosts are really nice and can point you toward places to see and good spots to eat. These pretty little houses have all the amenities you need for enjoying the scenery, lovely villages, and great food. Río Lobos Canyon, Burgo de Osma, and San Esteban de Gormaz are close by, as are castles, lagoons, viewpoints, good wine, and torreznos (fried pork rinds). If you’re visiting Soria, go for it.
