The owners of the company were absolutely fine to deal with and gave me a full refund, so I could find somewhere actually nice to stay. Instead of paying the manager his arbitrary, previously undiscussed 25 Euros, I effectively cost him about -€290. I have no idea why he thought I would hand over €25, unless he imagined he'd provided some kind of service. My awful experience was with one bloke, not the people who run the company. Getting inside was a problem because the door wouldn't open for me. Someone else got it open first time with a different key. The manager came over and sorted it, then started screaming right in my face about what an inconvenience it was. I mean actual screaming. I told him plainly that his volume and whatever physical prowess he thought he had didn't intimidate me. He calmed down once he saw I wasn't going to be bullied, but still didn't seem to understand he'd done anything wrong. He just couldn't stop talking. As for the place itself, it's down a little back alley in what has to be the dodgiest building ever. None of the doors seem to work. Honestly, you'd think the people who designed Fort Knox had been hired. The beds are MDF and hope, and the terrace looks straight onto the backs of other people's flats. When you arrive, the weird shouty man tells you not to remove the cloth over the shower drain or the whole room will smell like sewage. It's not a nice apartment at all. Don't stay here. Saving money isn't worth it, and there's nothing good about the place.
