The apartment at Travel Habitat Alameda Suites made our family holiday miserable. On arrival I found pubic hair in the shower, despite the €80 cleaning fee, and while I was showering the shower head fell on my head. The place was already coming apart, yet they still asked for a €250 deposit in case I broke anything. The apartment felt unsafe, dirty, and poorly maintained. I emailed them about serious issues and got no response. During the stay, R****e was no help, just pointed out the obvious, and dealing with her made things worse. After I posted a review, J***a M replied in a dismissive, arrogant, patronising way. She twisted what I had said: I never called the neighborhood unsafe, I said the area was safe and the apartment wasn't. It was clear she hadn't read my comment carefully. Saying that other customers were happy didn't address what happened to me. I'd also booked after seeing positive reviews, but my own experience was the opposite. The fees and rules, including the cleaning fee and deposit, are all listed online, and I have photos of the apartment. I didn't make any of this up. Their response only added to the impression that they don't take complaints seriously and would rather patronise guests than fix problems. They charge a lot, leave guests with a dirty, unsafe apartment, ignore complaints, and then insult them. It feels like a scam. Please don't risk your holiday, safety, or money here. Valencia has plenty of better places. I'd never stay here again.

The lobby vending machine was handy for picking up snacks and drinks, and Caramel also told us about 24-hour bike hire for 11 euros. Cycling around Valencia in the daytime and at night made the trip more fun. She gave us good tips on places nearby, too. We had a large group, and the apartment worked really well for us, with a huge living room, several bedrooms and toilets, and everything we needed. It was spacious and spotless. Caramel was wonderful from the moment we arrived, warm and welcoming, and really attentive. She went out of her way to make sure our stay went smoothly. I'd recommend the place, and Caramel especially.

Everything was clean and well equipped, with all the basics we needed. You can get coffee capsules at reception, €7 for a box of around eight. The staff were friendly, and they let us leave our luggage at reception on the day we flew home.

We booked an apartment for four nights, but the staff were rude and really unhelpful. They advertise bike hire, yet when they had none available they wouldn't let us rent from somewhere else. They also wanted to charge us just to store one bike because it wasn't theirs. Both the short-haired woman with glasses and the tall woman without glasses had a terrible attitude. When I asked one for her name, she refused to give it. There were ants in the apartment at night, too. I've stayed in Valencia plenty of times, but I won't be coming back here. Avoid it.
