Smartr Valencia Turia

The bed was comfortable and the access instructions were clear. When we arrived, the room looked really good and cozy, but the shower water wouldn't drain properly and spread across the floor right up to the room door. Another thing that bothered us while sleeping was how brightly the air-conditioning light shone in the dark.

We'd stay here again. There was enough room for all four of us, the rooms were comfortable, and the little kitchen worked well. The staff were kind and helpful, and there was free laundry and good air conditioning. It's in a good spot with the metro close by. The only problem was the shower drain: water wouldn't go down and overflowed into the rest of the bathroom.

Valencia is a lovely city, but we picked what felt like its worst place to stay. The rooms were dirty, cockroaches were crawling around, and when we told the staff, they got angry and said it wasn't true. One afternoon, after a quiet day at the beach, we couldn't open the sliding entrance door. We gave it a very small push, and then were made to pay €500 because they said it was broken. As soon as we'd paid, it suddenly worked again, and we weren't given the money back. The manager said we'd be thrown out immediately with no refund if we wanted our money back. We heard this had happened to other guests too. I absolutely don't recommend this hotel.

The staff were great and sent all the information we needed before our visit, including the entry pin and venue details. The location is also great, near the metro and a park.
