La Flamenca

We had a wonderful meal in a great location, with just the right amount of food. The staff were charming and attentive, and gently suggested a good mix of local dishes without being pushy or annoying. We tried things we probably wouldn't have chosen ourselves, and they were wonderful. One of our best dining experiences. Go and eat there!

The quality has really dropped. We should've left when we saw how the montaditos looked, but not much else was open on a Monday in August, so we gave it a try. Several items weren't good quality, and the tortilla they advertise on a board was poor too, with hard, badly undercooked potato. I wouldn't recommend coming for anything beyond a glass of wine. We're definitely not going back.

We returned last weekend with 18 guys on tour, and even with the place packed, they got plenty of good food out to us without any fuss. The staff are genuinely welcoming and easy to deal with, and the prices are reasonable. It's popular with locals, and I’d happily recommend it.

The tapas are tasty, and the house specialties are worth trying. Just check portion sizes before you order: huevos rotos is huge and made for sharing, while another tapa might be only three pieces. It fills up fast, so book a table before you go.
